What Students Learn
Students are guided step-by-step as they learn to:

Understand fabric, tools, and basic techniques

Projects include pillows, bags, accessories and more. Each builds on the last, helping students grow their skills naturally over time.

Beyond the Beginner SERIES
Students can continue on as their skills grow. Following the four-class introductory series, instruction options may include:
Stitch Squad (general ongoing classes)
Quilt Club (intro an evergreen art)
It’s in the Bag! (totes, pouches and more)
Bedroom Boost (name banners, oversized daisy pillows and other fun decor)
Lesson Options & Pricing
Private/One-on-One: $110 per 90-minute session
Small group (2-3 students): $80 per student per 90-minute session
Please note: There is a minimum enrollment requirement of 4 lessons for new students. This allows them the time and accompanied practice necessary to sew independently upon course completion.
FOR ADULTS
Beginner-friendly, in-home sewing lessons for adults who want to learn something new, return to a creative hobby, or finally feel comfortable using their machine.
Inspired by the North Fork’s creative, handmade spirit, these lessons offer a chance to slow down and make something meaningful with your hands.
Students can learn to:
Use and understand their sewing machine
Build foundational skills and techniques
Work with fabric, patterns, and simple construction
Create beautiful, functional projects
Projects may include:
Simple totes and bags
Pillow covers and home décor
Quilted pieces
Whether you’re starting from scratch or picking sewing back up, lessons are designed to meet you where you are.

About the instructor
Tricia Rayburn is a North Fork native and the maker behind North Fork Stitchery. A self-proclaimed fabric addict, she’s been sewing for over a decade and loves helping students build confidence while creating something they’re proud of.
Tricia is also an internationally published author of books for teens and tweens—so working with young people has always been close to her heart.
